stand your ground zimmerman laws

Why Stand Your Ground Fails

Under FL law Zimmerman had "no duty to retreat and had the right to stand his ground and meet force with force" if he reasonably feared for his life or great bodily harm.-- that is from the judge's instructions.

But Trayvon appears to have felt the same way. He had no duty to retreat when he felt threatened by a largish older guy with a militant shaved head, who was driving a pickup truck and deliberately trailing Trayvon at 7 pm in the evening, a dark night -- in a neighborhood that Zimmerman himself claims was filled with recent criminal activity.

Zimmerman was suspicious.

Trayvon dies, but no one exonerates his reputation. He stood his ground. He did not retreat. He was not obligated to. So why trash him in court?

Zimmerman kills a man, due to a misunderstanding, and yet some people treat him as a savior (see Ann Coulter's tweet a few moments after the verdict was announced -- she used a phrase reserved usually for religious exhortations of joy.  ).

The law presumes the dead are guilty.

So, be the first to shoot, and shoot to kill.

Read some of the crap about these laws here.

Based on this stupid law, we should all carry guns -- African American's especially. If you are in FL, and you see a suspicious person, kill first and tell the police you felt threatened by a menacing person.

As a consequence, all the menacing personages should be quickly slaughtered and FL a more peaceful, crime free state -- such logic!
